XIJI SEED PROGRAM

Our program follows the Lean Startup Methodology. Our hands-on approach is one of the core strengths. We believe the best way to learn is by doing, so we provide our entrepreneurs with the tools, resources and mentorship they need to succeed in their ventures.

The Seed Program consists of 16 modules distributed along one semester, covering topics such as entrepreneurial foundations, finance, prototyping, legal aspects and IPP, Chinese market and regional support, among others.

The program is delivered in English, and includes the possibility of taking subjects in Tongji University and/or work in the Bachelor or Master Thesis.

In each of the Xiji Seed Program modules, entrepreneurs receive training from invited top-tier industry experts, along with personalized 1:1 mentorship, and attend exclusive events aimed at expanding their network and providing access to key players in their business sector.

Program Duration:

  • Fall Batch: September 1 – January 31
  • Spring Batch: February 1 – June 30

Application Period:

  • Fall Batch: 1 – 15 March
  • Spring Batch: 1 – 15 September
    (For Tongji candidates 25 Oct – 10 November)

Credits:

  • 18 ECTS (European credits)

Slots Available:

  • 20 per batch

Tuition:

  • Participants must enroll in the Expert Course “Open Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Asia” at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which costs 2880€
  • Tongji candidates are not required to enroll in this course, and they don’t need to pay tuition fees.
  • Possibility of external scholarships

Format:

  • On-site in Shanghai, China
